Dennis became the power of attorney over his older (by 15 years) sister Joann Powers when she was suddenly discovered to be gravely ill at the end of July 2016. Joann had been, and still was, a resident of Phoenix Arizona since 1985. Dennis was still residing in his home state of Michigan.

When Dennis became tasked with the duty of overseeing his sister’s medical and housing needs he finally began announcing his intended plan of eventual action. The letter / email, (top right) that he sent out two weeks after Joann had become hospitalized explained in detail just what those plans were. This letter, dated August 12, 2016, unquestionably indicates that as of at least that date, Dennis Kloss was well aware that his sister was found to be fighting a malignant brain tumor known as gliblastoma multiforme, or GBM for short. Eight days prior to this letter, on August 4th, Dennis had been made aware of this tumor’s presence and that it was in an operable state at that time. 

He and his medical doctor wife were also keenly aware that GBM is a GRADE IV TUMOR , the most aggressive and fastest spreading form of cancer known to medical science. The MEDIAN growth rate for this type of tumor is 1.4% PER DAY. In this letter however; he clearly stated that he and his “doctor” wife would NOT be traveling to Phoenix until the end of August (a full month after Jo’s initial hospitalization) and, that when they did arrive, their main focus would be on liquidating Joann’s assets rather than her medical care and any efforts to save her life.This lack of timely action, especially considering the known rate of growth such tumors do exhibit, was absolutely unconscionable and a direct contributor to the premature death suffered by Joann Powers. This delay on their part had allowed this tumor to increase in size somewhere in the neighborhood of 42% from the time of its initial discovery. It went from what was stated to be an operable state on August 4th, to an IN-operable state on August 30th, the day that Dennis and his wife FINALLY took Joann to discuss surgery with her neurosurgeon. 

It must be borne in mind that Dennis is a financially independent person. (click here) He does not have a job so could not have possibly had any obligations or commitments in Michigan that would have been more important than saving his sister’s life. It must also be understood that at the time Dennis composed and delivered this August 12th message he was already completely aware that MRI scans performed on Joann had revealed that the tumor was in an operable state at that time. When family members and friends, many of whom were decades long very close friends of Joann began to question the wisdom and effectiveness of his lackadaisical plan of action, especially his month long delay to travel, he became furious and vindictive towards all. From that point forward, his actions clearly became self-centered and vengeful towards anyone who showed concern, while at the same time he was ignoring what was in the best interest of his sister’s survival.

As this site is viewed, details will emerge that clearly indicate Dennis Kloss perceived his position of authority as ultimate, unchallengeable, and the ONLY thing that was of any importance to him…. Even more important than the welfare and survival of his own sister.
